We will shortly be hosting trials for all of our competition sections. In these sections, gymnasts will be expected to train multiple days a week with the expectation of full commitment to training and competitions. Details of the commitments for each section, and some details of skill requirements can be found below. Tumble
We are looking for girls and boys age 7+ interested in joining our tumble section.
Gymnasts will train between 4.5 – 10 hours a week depending on level.
Gymnasts 9 and under – no set skill restrictions,
Gymnasts 10-11 must be able to backflip,
Gymnasts 12 and older must be able to perform minimum of 2 flips.

Artistic
In Women’s artistic gymnasts perform on 4 pieces of apparatus – bars, beam, floor & vault.
We are looking to identify girls with gymnastics potential to join the women’s artistic section. If you are starting school in August up to age 7 and can commit to 2 days a week initially – this can increase to 20+ hours at the highest level. Must have good listening skills and a willingness to learn. Girls older than 7 with previous gymnastics experience will be considered.
The trial will cover strength, flexibility and coordination exercises.

Acro
Acro gymnastics is a mix of balance and dynamic floor routines with partners in pairs or groups.
We are looking for boys and girls who are going into P1 up to age 8 interested in joining our acro development section. Gymnasts over 8 with previous experience will also be considered. As this is a partnership discipline commitment to training and competitions is especially important. Training will be 2 or 3 times a week initially – this can increase to 16+ hours at the highest level.
We are looking for gymnasts to be both tops and bases so strength and flexibility is very important. Gymnasts are expected to perform routines to music so if you love to dance and show off this could be for you.

Floor & Vault
We are looking for boys and girls age 6-10 looking to compete in a 2 piece section, floor & vault. The floor routines here are not performed to music. Gymnasts over 10 will be considered if they have previous gymnastics experience and can cartwheel, walkover and have 1 set of splits. This section trains twice a week (Wed or Thurs and Sunday)

Display team
We are looking for girls age 10 and over interested in joining the display team. Some gymnastics experience required but the ability to dance is important as the team perform choreographed routines. The team train on a Sunday 2-4pm

If you choose Acro or artistic squads and are successful you may not train with any other discipline due to the high level of commitment required. However it is possible to be in the tumble section, display and floor & vault or a combination of these.
